three joyful years

Three years ago today we brought home our two sweet boys.

It's hard to imagine life without them. Every morning Jude's nose is one of the first things I see when I wake up. They're always so playful in the morning. Stretching and pouncing on toys. Ready to start the day with fun and love from their people. Neck scratchings, kisses and of course treats. They know their schedule and anticipate each item on their agendas. Eager for walks and breakfast and treats and dinner. They're also ready for any change in schedule. A ride in the truck. A trip to the farm. Ask them if they want to "go to the farm" and they'll dance and wiggle and whip their tails with delight. And they're always up for an adventure.

They always make me laugh. Every day they do silly things. I fell in love with these boys before we ever took them home. It wasn't hard to do. I'm so happy they're a part of our family. They bring me so much joy each and every day.

Dogs' lives are so short. I remind myself daily to enjoy each moment with them. Really, it's good to remember to enjoy each moment full stop. Each moment with those we love. Each moment of beauty on this earth.

Give your furry friend(s) an extra hug today. And enjoy your weekend.

  1. I can't even imagine life with these sweeties. They are so beautiful. We've never had a dog, only cats, but life is so much richer with pets! I'm so glad you are blogging more often, Anne. I've been overly busy lately, but hope to get back to regular blogging soon!

  2. Dogs and cats. Both are wonderful. I can't imagine a house without animals.

I look forward to catching up with all your creative doings (and the adventures of Angus and Rosie) once you get back to your blog!
