I'm not going anywhere... 30 Days of Love and Joy, Day 1
I find it interesting that you were assuming that my "doing something different" and my need to "distance myself from the internet" meant that I was going to take a break from blogging because what I had in mind was quite the opposite. I've been feeling a bit bored with my blog and although I have no shortage of ideas, I've been having a hard time blogging. It takes me so long to write a post. Part of it is the uploading of photos. Part of it is my inability to just sit and wait while those photos upload. Part of it is the lure of other things on the internet while I'm sitting and waiting. Multitasking is my nemesis. While trying to do one thing I'm suddenly doing five. I find myself avoiding writing a blog post because I know that it will take me a long time and when my to-do list is too long to fit on a single sheet of paper... So, I had been kicking around the idea of 1) teeny-tiny short posts and 2) mono-tasking. And then today while I was checking my Instagram feed, I noticed Flora Bowley's latest post and followed it to her blog. Yes, I want to spend the next 30 days falling in love with my blog again. I want to streamline my process and make blogging easy and quick and fun. My plan? For now the idea is to post a single photograph each day for the next 29 days. Each photo will celebrate a tiny bit of Joy. My blog in these coming days will become a Joy list in photos.
Inspired by Flora, here is my post-it calendar reminder.
I just pulled off #1.
Here's to a month full of love and Joy. I hope you'll join me!

I know what you mean! I'm the same way. I love blogging but haven't kept up consistently for the exact reasons you name here. I am going to try and join you Anne! Here's to a month of love and joy!

I feel the same. I am going to join you.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful, Anne! Yes, I was hoping you weren't thinking of stopping your blog!
ReplyDeleteI'll join you in this, gladly. I'm already doing a month of "Signs of Spring", and all of those are filled with joy. I'll ink to you on my blog tomorrow.
That rose is spectacular - a beautiful photo!
You know I¨m a faithful reader. <3
ReplyDeleteI´m participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge which is a-post-a-day thing, mostly to get to know more bloggers as it has a FB group.
I love that idea! I think I have to jump in. The thought of writing it all out explaining what I am doing seems like a bit much. Maybe I will just mention you and Flora. :) And I am glad you weren't leaving your blog. Silly us. Thanks Anne. xo
ReplyDeleteLove it!It's hard to keep a balance with these things isn't it?
ReplyDeleteFor a long time now I have posted just one photo on my blog and a small piece of writing. This way keeping a blog (for me) is achievable. The rose is stunning Anne.
