weekend fun
Alison left this morning. We had a fun and relaxing weekend. I wanted to make a snowman, but the snow wasn't good for snowman making. Instead we spelled words and made snow angels.
Alison even made a snow cat angel.
We built a fort as best we could and made sure to give it plenty of camouflage.
And it seems that I am not the only one who likes to be the first to walk in untouched snow.
We walked to one of the cemeteries across the road (there are two, one to the west and one to the east) just before sunset. We had to climb the fence (not hard in the high snow) because the gates wouldn't budge with the the snow drifts surrounding them. The shadows were amazing and long.
It's great to be silly with old friends. We played games, talked quilts and gardens and just generally had a good time.

ReplyDeleteThe snow cat angel is the best! Really! And I love the skinny robe technique for snow angels, too. I've always made them with big huge robes in the past, but the skinny ones are lovely!
