if you thought the baby chicks were cute...

These little ones arrived at the post office this morning and we got a call and picked them up just like with the chicks.  Three female chocolate Indian Runner Ducks.  They are so very sweet and make the cutest peepings.

They might end up being a shining example of what not to do when you're starting a little farm like ours.  We ordered them for one reason and one reason alone.  We thought they were cute and that it would be fun to have some ducks.  Up to that point we'd read nothing about keeping ducks and didn't know much about them at all, yet we giddily placed our order.  I think we've both fallen in love with them and aren't regretting our hasty decision at all.  Of course, it's only been a few hours since we brought them home, so time will tell.
