the art show
The art show was this past Sunday.
It was a long, exhausting day. I made mistakes and forgot things and broke one of my displays. There were (minor) injuries and weather was less than ideal (steaminess alternating with rain). But it was a good experience and I had some sales. I'll do a few things differently next time with my displays, but all in all, I love the way that everything turned out.
I could not have done it without the help of my crew*. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You guys really are the greatest. And thank you, also, to my customers. I hope you enjoy your items!
It's hard to believe that it's already September. Today really feels like fall, Cleveland fall. The cool, dreary, damp sort of weather that makes you want to stay cuddled up inside with blankets. And that's ok because I have indoor plans and projects for the coming days, including a shop update and a giveaway. Stay tuned.
*Special thanks to Stefan Minnig for taking the photos in this post.
Congratulations - it all looks super :)
ReplyDeletecongrats! The first is always the hardest. Before you know it, you'll be popping the tent up and down by yourself, working with a master "show" checklist, and fitting an amazing amount of things (product, dosplaus, signs, etc..) in you car! ONward!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Anne! Your display is so fresh and clean looking and your work is beautiful. You have a great attitude and I hope you go on to do more shows!
ReplyDeleteLovely, all the way around.
ReplyDeleteIts been a while since I've had time to read my favorite blogs and I'm so glad I stopped by yours! What a charming booth you had, with all sorts of gorgeous treasures for sale. For a steamy day you look cool and calm :) Congratulations on your sales. Love those butterfly charms, bags and your beautiful signage.
ReplyDeleteYour displays look wonderful - beautiful! Well done you :-)
