Joy List Monday
Today is beautifully sunny but cold, cold, cold. Right now -11 F with a windchill of -34 F. Each day the snow piles outside are getting higher and higher. Inside my studio it is colorful and springlike with all of my fabrics and paints and yarns and plants. It is a Joy-ful place to be. Every day. Every time I step into it I feel inspired and calmed and filled with Joy.
I've been trying to make Joy lists a daily ritual in my studio. Light a candle, sit still and quiet, jot down those things that are bringing me Joy. That practice itself brings Joy.

Today:
- yummy breakfast paninis
- sunshine
- being in my studio
- ordering new business cards
- new crochet purses that are almost finished
- my fragrant Christmas candle
- oranges on my tree
What's bringing you Joy today?
I love your joy lists. They are always so inspiring and simply beautiful! Wishing you a great week!
ReplyDeleteHmm, let's see:
ReplyDelete-making lavender and rose petal sachets from last summer's garden
-the tiny flower bud forming on my lemon tree
-reserving *another* rose for spring (whoops!)
Notice these are all plant related? Haha!
Taking advantage of the MOO sale?
ReplyDeleteGreat list.
Inspiring.
:-)
I think the idea of a joy list every day is a good one. And lighting a candle makes it like a special event - I must try this. From the photos you have shown us of your studio, it looks like a very uplifting place, Anne.
ReplyDeleteMy joy list? Getting back into sketching and drawing, making new curtains and the sunny yellow color of a new primrose plant!
