spring is coming
Yesterday is the first time I let myself think that. I mean, I know that spring will inevitably follow winter, but I have been prepared for a whole lot more winter before spring, real spring, is actually here.
If nothing else, it will take a LONG time for all of the snow to melt. And I'm ok with that.
I have flowers and flowers and flowers inside.
And since just one lemon blossom is enough to scent my whole studio,
when there's a concert of lemon blossoms and jasmine and hyacinths...
Then there's the sunshine. Wisconsin has been so much sunnier than Cleveland.
Winter has not been a bad thing. But spring, yes, I get a bit giddy about spring. And, as I said, I'm starting to believe that spring is coming. It's warming up. Snow is melting. And inside...
my mom and I started the first seeds of the season last week. We're going to have a wonderful harvest this year. I can feel it.
I hope your week is off to a beautiful start.

Happy Spring Anne! I don't feel that we had winter proper here in the UK. Yes we had weeks and weeks of rain but never any snow. I think that is the first time ever we haven't had snow in winter. But now I am ready to move onwards into spring and the longer days and birdsong.
ReplyDeleteYay for spring! It is sunny and warm here today. The first in a very long time. I am celebrating. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, but until I saw your top photo I had been thinking what a shame it was that we hadn't had any snow fall this year!!
ReplyDeleteYay Spring is coming! Shockingly after flood inducing months of rain we too have been having sun - it puts everyone in a good mood. Wherever you live you make it look so homely, sunny & happy. You should run "happiness begins at home" retreats or write articles for the home magazines.
ReplyDeleteI'm back on a better health spell, if it lasts long like I hope then hopefully I'll see you in blogland a bit more often. Meanwhile, wishing you a fab week/weekend.
Hugs
Kat Xx
Sometimes, especially this winter, I wonder irrationally, "WILL spring follow winter?"
ReplyDeleteHaha, no really. I'm sure you can relate!
Anyways, I love seeing the start of those little seedlings. We've begun here, too, and it's a wonderful feeling.
