joy and more imaginary traveling

Hello. How are things with you, today? Are you finding joy around you right now? It's a good question for me, too. A reminder to pay attention to now. My hot coffee. My cozy studio. But I have to be honest. I haven't been very good at being in the moment lately. This weather is wearing on me.

I miss the sunshine. And so, as I sit in my studio painting, my mind is traveling. Visiting here

and dreaming about this

and then taking me on a stroll through here

before stopping to say hi to them.

I guess there are worse ways of being unfocused. Although, in truth I'm not unfocused. While my mind is visiting gardens and sniffing roses I'm also doing this.

Joyful. Beautiful. Focused. In the moment and not. I can't be too hard on myself. Being in the moment requires constant practice. And joy is joy. Where it comes from doesn't really matter to me.

So, wherever you are (physically or mentally) and whatever you're doing, I hope you're finding joy. And I'm sending some love your way.

Pass it on.

We did get sun yesterday for a bit. It's amazing how my mood changed, like the flip of a switch.

    1. I wish we'd get some of that. Tiny snowflakes in the air, but all the snow on the ground has melted. Wondering if we'll have a white Christmas this year.
