joy list monday

orchid flower photography

Today is not sunny. It's rather dreary, truth be told. Perfect time for a Joy List, don't you think?

  • orchids blooming in my studio -- another one opens each day it seems
  • chickadees calling in the tree outside my window
  • getting some sprouts started to add to salads and sandwiches
  • trying new things
  • sending out the last of this year's calendars last week (and thinking about what I want to do for next year's calendar -- I'd love to hear suggestions of what you're looking for!)
  • chocolate chip cookie dough in the fridge
  • all the flowers and plants you have been suggesting for my giveaway*

  1. Anne, the weather has been horrible here today - non stop drizzly rain and overcast sky - but today it didn't bother me as I have been feeling so upbeat! I don't know if I have ever told you how beautiful your photography is ? Stunning orchid photos. I think sometimes we take other people's work for granted and expect a certain 'standard'. Well your photography is at the top of the tree in my opinion! Bringing me joy today is the flowers on my Amaryllis plant, signing up for more sewing classes and seeing family members from years ago. Wishing you a lovely, creative and happy week! :-)

    1. Thank you, Simone. I like taking photos. The conditions aren't always right for good ones (but that doesn't stop me... a bit of a bad habit).

So glad you're feeling cheerful. Lucky you with your amaryllis. Both mine have failed me this year. One formed leaves and no flowers and the other formed a flower bud that never did anything.

Hope you'll share your sewing adventure on your blog!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

  3. Beautiful photos.
This week it is COLD here in Wisconsin. I am thankful for the warmth of HOME. :-))
I am filled with joy to get cozy with a cup of tea and continue to plan my 2015 garden.
