a few things

Happy Spring! I thought it would never arrive. But now it's here. (To those of you getting more snow, I am so, so sorry).

I've been up to lots of things this week. I have been loving my month of decluttering/organizing/streamlining. In the process I found a few things I had completely forgotten about. Just this week I began working on a crocheted sweater in the evenings. The pattern and the yarn were in a bag waiting for me to get started. Last weekend I began cutting out fabric for another Portfolio dress/tunic. I have a bunch of nice pieces of fabric for clothing sewing. I hadn't really forgotten about them, but I kept putting off doing anything with them. I'll admit that I spent hours trying to decide which fabric and which pattern to start with. Maybe that was part of the problem. Does this go against my idea of focus and streamlining? I'm going to say, no.

Something else I've been doing is dreaming of the summer garden. This week I finished up a summery commission (more on that soon). And this painting, too.

For now it's available in my Etsy shop, but soon it will be moving. I will be taking the plunge and opening an independent shop on my website. I've been thinking and planning for a while now. I'll keep my Etsy shop, but there won't be as many originals available there. I will be doing some re-pricing and some pieces will be phased out of the shop altogether. If there's something you've been eying, you might want to jump on it now.

I have another summer flowers painting on my table and it's calling me.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
