Savor Summer -- Joy List Monday

  • fun 4th of July celebrations
  • discovering nature trails only a couple blocks from our house
  • second-hand furniture (unexpectedly) gifted from a friend who's moving (pieces that I had been hoping to find -- and she didn't even know I was looking)
  • beautiful summer weather
  • garden salads (every day)
  • first of the sweet peas blooming + other flowers arriving daily
What have you been savoring lately?

  2. Anne, those sweet peas and your joy list just hit the spot with me, that one that craves a little sweetness on a Monday :) Lately I have been savoring phone texting/photos with my sister because she just got an iPhone and is back living in the US; my kitty's little blinks (kisses) when she looks at me, and the scent of lilies and lavender from my garden. Thank you for reminding us to keep gratitude at the top of our list.

    1. It's always fun to plan for next year. I've been keeping a running tally in my head of things for next year's garden. I guess I should probably write some of them down.

My sweet peas have been so slow this year; the ones I started inside are kind of pathetic. The ones I planted directly outside have left them in the dust. Soon they'll all be blooming, though. I just need to be patient, I guess.

I hope you are finding lots to savor and enjoying your new home. :)
