30 Days 30 Paintings, Day 15 -- A Pair of Asian Eggplants

I really loved painting yesterday's eggplant (and eating it in a delicious stew for dinner) and as I had a couple Asian eggplants still sitting on the counter I thought I'd bring them up to my studio for today's painting.

I could probably have given them a couple more layers of color, but I liked the purples as they are and I'm trying not to spend too much time fiddling with these daily paintings.

    You have captured the likeness of these beautifully Anne. They almost look like photographic images! Gorgeous!

      You are so sweet, Simone! These were really fun to paint and it's funny you say they look photographic because I was trying not to get too detailed with them.

      Thank you, Sharon! Painting these eggplants was so much fun. I am enjoying watching the seasons shift, even though I'm a bit reluctant to let summer go.
