30 Days 30 Paintings, Day 19 -- a Pansy

In the spring I went crazy planting pansies and violas in the garden for some much-needed color. And of course, I painted them because they were some of the only things growing and blooming outside.

They bloomed all summer. And there were seedlings from last year's plants popping up everywhere. And then seedlings from this year's plants, too.

Lately I've been noticing all the lovely color combinations in the self-seeded varieties. Mostly in the blues. And I felt called to paint them again.
