30 Paintings 30 Days, Day 6: A Bachelor Button
Nope, it's not a tomato.
Today I was inspired by Victoria Johnson to paint even littler than my 4"x4" squares. She has challenged herself to paint little paintings that are no wider than 2.5" (#alittleart) and invited other artists to join her. I cut my 4"x4" square in half for this painting of a sweet little bachelor button. Don't you think you'd like to try it, too?

Love your daily paintings, Anne! The small size is perfect for your delicate work! I just posted a daily sketchbook page which is almost exactly like something you and Dana did a few posts back. (blue squares) Although I had commented on yours, I completely forgot that when I did mine. Must have stored the idea in my memory! Wow!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Judy! I've got to go take a look at your blog. Those blue squares sure did make me happy, no wonder you'd want to make some of your own (even if you weren't conscious of it). :)
DeleteSo delicate and pretty Anne. I would like to try these miniature paintings if only I could make the time!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Simone. Really, it doesn't take that much time (that's why I've chosen to go SMALL).
