My Entry for Spoonflower and Sprout Patterns' Japanese Garden Design Challenge

I finally decided which version of my fabric design to submit for the contest.

fabric design, surface pattern design, Spoonflower, Sprout Patterns, Japanese Garden Challenge, watercolor, teapots, koi, goldfish, cherry blossoms, Japanese Tea Garden, Anne Butera, My Giant Strawberry

The theme is Japanese Garden and the design is meant to be used for a sewing pattern through Sprout Patterns, the Asaka Kimono by Named Clothing Company.

When I checked today I saw that the preview for the pattern is now available and so I had to try it out.

Contrasting trim could be fun, too:

You can vote here now through April 27th. There are a LOT of entries (705!)  in this contest and you may have to scroll for a while before you see my design. There's no limit on how many designs you can vote for, so I hope you'll vote for a bunch of your favorites while you're at it (and of course, I'd love it if you'd vote for me).

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Earth Day!

  1. Anne I love it! I am happy that your design choice was the same as mine! Your print looks wonderful made up into the kimono. It must be so exciting to see a mock up of your fabric designs. You have got my vote! :-)

I so appreciate your support and encouragement!

And yes, it's exciting to see the mock up. I'm also so excited because I've ordered test swatches of other fabric designs. I'm getting so close to being able to release my fabric collection!
