The Joy of Artful Blogging
I'm putting aside Joy List Monday today, or maybe it's just simplifying my list. I hope you are remembering to pay attention to the day's joys and to set aside time for gratitude, whether your list is long or short.
I have quite a few things on my list right now, but I'm sharing just one today.
I can't remember when I discovered the magazine Artful Blogging, but the oldest issue I have is from 2010, from before I had started blogging here. I know that even then I longed to be within those pages. I wasn't painting yet at that point, just hovering on the edge of taking my first creative leap. Although I didn't have a clear picture of what I wanted this new, creative life to look like, I knew I wanted it to be beautiful enough to be featured in Artful Blogging Magazine.
Fast forward six years...
Six years of learning. Six years of writing. Six years of trial and error. Six years of clarifying my dream of a creative life.
And six years of encouragement from YOU.
As I fumbled about, finding my way. Failing. Trying again.
I am so grateful to have realized my dreams of finding my place among these pages.
And I'm so grateful to YOU. Each of you. Who read these words. Who leave comments on my posts. Who buy my art. Who inspire me. Who send me encouragement in so many ways.
I hope you'll be able to put your hands on a copy of this issue. The article I've written is for you.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
You bring me joy. Each day.
